Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy explains how Coflux applies usage limits and service protections so the workspace stays reliable for everyone.
1. Why fair use exists
Coflux is designed for normal creator use, not for abusive automation, scraping, or attempts to exhaust shared AI infrastructure.
Fair use helps us:
- Keep the workspace fast and reliable
- Prevent spammy or abusive behavior
- Preserve model quality for all users
- Offer a useful Free plan without feature lockouts
2. Free plan
The Free plan includes access to the full Coflux workspace, with lighter daily limits intended for exploration.
As of August 25, 2026, the Free plan generally includes:
- Up to 5 AI generations per day
- Up to 30 chat messages per day
- Up to 5 knowledge base documents
- Limited web research and retrieval volume
These limits may change over time as we improve the product and monitor reliability.
3. Pro plan
The Pro plan is designed for creators who want to use Coflux consistently.
Pro includes:
- Higher fair-use limits across the workspace
- More room for AI generation, chat, research, and knowledge base usage
- Priority access to new features
Pro does not grant unlimited automated, abusive, or service-degrading usage.
4. What is not allowed
The following are not considered fair use:
- Using bots, scripts, or external automation to generate excessive requests
- Attempting to scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service
- Generating spam, manipulative content, or content intended to violate platform policies
- Sharing accounts in ways that materially distort normal individual use
- Repeatedly creating abnormal request spikes that degrade reliability for others
5. Temporary throttling and protection
To protect reliability, Coflux may temporarily slow, rate-limit, or pause usage when our systems detect unusual or abusive patterns.
This can include:
- Short cooldowns
- Temporary request throttling
- Manual review for repeated abuse
- Suspension or restriction in severe cases
Where possible, we surface a user-facing message such as:
- "Usage temporarily paused to protect service quality."
6. Changes to limits
We may update Free-plan limits, Pro fair-use thresholds, and protection rules over time as the product evolves.
Material changes will be reflected on our pricing and policy pages.
