LinkedIn writing tools, compared honestly
Most tools that promise to write your LinkedIn posts are good at one thing. Some are built for leads, some are schedulers with AI added later, and some are blank chat boxes. Here's how Coflux compares with the 15 tools founders look at most, including where each one beats us.

How to choose a LinkedIn AI tool
Five questions worth answering before you pay for anything, including us.
Where does each draft start?
A tool that starts from a blank prompt will drift toward generic posts. Look for one that keeps a profile of you, learns from posts you've written, and can use your own material, like product docs or customer notes.
How much editing does a draft need?
The subscription is the small cost. The big one is the time you spend fixing each draft. Test two tools on the same real idea and count the edits.
How does it connect to LinkedIn?
Some tools work through a browser extension, others through LinkedIn's official API. LinkedIn has pushed several tools away from extensions, so many people now prefer the API route.
What else do you actually need?
Analytics, lead lists, team approvals and other platforms are real features, but only if you'll use them. Paying for a growth suite when your bottleneck is writing is a common mistake.
Can you try it properly before paying?
A free plan with no time limit lets you test a tool over a few weeks of real posting. A 7-day trial often ends before you've written enough to judge.
About these comparisons
Who wrote these comparisons?
The Coflux team. We make Coflux, so we have a stake in the result. To keep it fair, every page says where the other tool is the better choice, and Coflux features that aren't live yet are marked as coming soon.
Where do the prices come from?
From each company's own pricing page, checked on October 11, 2026. Where we couldn't confirm a price on the vendor's site, the page says so instead of guessing.
Which LinkedIn AI tool is cheapest?
Among the tools here, Hypefury (from $6 per channel, or $19 a month for all channels) and RedactAI (from $11.90 a month during a promotion) have the lowest paid prices. Buffer, Typefully, ChatGPT and Coflux all have free plans.
Do any of these tools need a Chrome extension?
AuthoredUp and EasyGen are built around Chrome extensions. Coflux, ContentIn and several others post through LinkedIn's official API, so there's nothing to install.
Is anyone paying to be listed?
No. There are no affiliate links or paid placements on these pages.
