Free LinkedIn Text Formatter | Bold, Italic & Bullet Points

LinkedIn's editor has no bold, italic, or bullet button. This does it for you: type your text, pick a style, and paste it straight into your post.

Write & format

Select text, apply formatting, then copy the Unicode result into LinkedIn.

Tip: select text, then tap Bold or Italic

Formatting happens in your browser. Free account needed to copy , nothing you type is uploaded just to style it.

How it works

Three steps, then paste into LinkedIn

Write, style, copy, formatting happens in your browser.

Your draft

Here's what I learned about growing on LinkedIn…

01

Write or paste your text

Your draft, your hook, or just the line you want to style, drop it in the editor.

BI

Make your hook line impossible to scroll past.

Selection → Bold applied

02

Select and style

Highlight a word or phrase, then hit bold, italic, bullets, or numbering, preview updates live.

𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐤 then the rest of your post in plain text.

03

Copy and paste into LinkedIn

The styling survives the paste, posts, comments, headline, or About section all work.

Worth knowing

What's actually happening when you "bold" LinkedIn text

LinkedIn's editor has no real formatting. The bold and italic you see in other people's posts is a Unicode workaround, and that comes with a few honest tradeoffs.

It's Unicode, not real formatting

LinkedIn has no bold button. This swaps letters for characters that look bold or italic, LinkedIn treats them as plain text.

plain → 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 / 𝘐𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘤

Not screen-reader friendly

Styled Unicode is read character by character. Use it for emphasis, keep your name, keywords, and links in plain text.

Emphasize a line, not the whole post

Doesn't change your reach

Formatting doesn't move LinkedIn's algorithm. What it changes is whether someone stops to read what you wrote.
